The House will make regulations within a month to study cannabis cultivation: Ravi Lamichhane

Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane has said that there should be no ambivalence about cannabis cultivation.

He said that regulations will be made within a month to study the cultivation of cannabis, to open cannabis for medicinal purposes. He says that the discussion is enough for its needs.

He said that he has been interested in the study of cannabis cultivation since taking office.

Home Minister Lamichhane said that the committee formed to study hemp cultivation will give a report soon in the discussion on the issue of 'commercial production of hemp' mentioned in the budget by the Agriculture Committee of the House of Representatives.

Lamichhane said, "The house is the one who takes the lead in making laws for cannabis cultivation."

He said that the number of drug addicts has increased, but the situation of marijuana is being studied. He said that public awareness will also be used about the legal ignorance in marijuana trafficking.

"Those who are addicted to drugs will be given another chance, but there is no exemption for those who deal," said Home Minister Lamichhane.
